I started a new dA account and I'm currently moving some of my works to that gallery.

I think I am outgrowing this deviantart account. I am thinking about starting a new account and moving all of my work (post-2007) there. This has a lot to do with the fact that I feel I've gotten a lot better since starting to work full time and really committing my self to my career.

In other news, I am still working at Golden Communications as Senior Designer / Senior Front-End Developer and Project Manager. I've been here for exactly one year now.

I'm thinking of moving up north to San Francisco once my sister moves back there. Not sure yet. Hopefully my company will allow me to telecommute as some of my coworkers have in the past.

I am available for freelance work, so if you have anything in mind for someone of my talents, please contact me!

I'm really bad at this whole "updating" thing.
Anyway, things have changed from the last time I posted in this journal. I work for Golden State Communications now, as a designer, front end developer, and project manager. You can see some of my recent works in my gallery.

I have a new boyfriend, Rick, who's also a designer - we've been going out for about five months now.

I'm thinking of moving all my professional works to a different account. Also, I should really try to vector something soon because it's been a really long while.

Long Overdue

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 3, 2007, 2:25 PM
I haven't updated this thing in forever. I just added some recent work from different contracts, and some stuff that I did for my last job before I quit. As I posted on the deviations, there was this bitch that constantly kept trying to manipulate her way into my position as Art Director. She just happened to be my bosses best friend's wife. She worked for Microsoft two years ago; I guess she thinks she's all that. Im sorry, when was the last time Microsoft was known for their fantastic marketing campaigns and creative perspective? Yeah. Exactly.

I'm unemployed right now, just taking a break and doing some freelance while I try to get over all this stress I've been going through. I got a new puppy! I'll edit this with some pictures tomorrow; he's so freaking adorable. He's a shih tzu and his name is Cognac, or Koko for short. I've got him almost fully potty trained. It's been a hard road to this point, but we're finally getting there! My last dog was not this hard to train. At least I have all this free time to train him though.

My boyfriend is coming back from Arizona on Monday; I'm so happy. He's been there for a month, working at the Arizona state fair. He's a salesman. I did some business cards for his company; I'll probably post them tomorrow.

My camera is so busted... I've been meaning to take some pictures of the actual printed cards I've done in the past few months.

In the past 10 months, here's what's new with me:

New Car: Scion TC 08
New laptop: 17" Macbook Pro
Held a job at myGenopedia for a little while; and before that at iLink Media, dba LifeScript.
Gained five pounds =/
Got a new puppy

more will be added soon.

Merry Christmas

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 25, 2006, 11:28 PM
Well I think I had a pretty good Xmas, considering I didnt really get many gifts. But I still had a good time with my boyfriend's family. I really like his family. I think they like me too. I hope. I know his sister Ryan does; we're probably the closest.

They all liked the gifts I got them from meetmark.com, and I was really happy about that. I didn't know if I should get them gifts because I didnt want to make them feel bad if they didnt get me anything, but it worked out because Joe wasnt able to get them anything so we put both our names on my gifts. And his mom actually got me this uber cute, uber soft aroma therapy teddy bear. It smells so good and you can heat it up or freeze it to help with aches and pains. That will come in handy when that time of the month comes around.

After spending the day with his family, we both drove down to Tony's to drop off the gifts for the kids. Those two boys are so cute together. They can form complete sentences now, which is actually pretty impressive at their ages.

I spent Christmas Eve at Joe's, and we had a nice little sleep over. He was really sweet all weekend, but I think he felt bad because he didnt get me anything this year for Christmas, or my birthday. He's been short on cash since his car keeps dying and he has to get it fixed so often.

I spoiled my nephew this year. His first christmas, and even though he's too young to appreciate gifts or really experience christmas (he's three months old now) I don't care. I got him four little outfits and a little stuffed dog that dances and sings the alphabet. I love that little man so much.

I made this at work from pictures that my brother sent me:

Happy birthday to me!

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 11, 2006, 12:13 AM
Well my birthday was on friday, but that's okay. I didn't really get anything at all for my birthday this year... which sucks. I did get a cake from my co-worlkers though. I came into the office, and there it was sitting on my desk. No one in my family got me anything. My boyfriend still hasnt gotten anything for me yet - he says he will, he just hasnt had the opportunity...

Oh, that's right... I got a new job. I don't know if I've mentioned that here before, but I work for iCella inc. as a graphic designer. It's easy work, but a little constricting... company's run by older korean people and the taste level there is kinda shabby, so I feel like I'm constantly fighting to bring a fresh and young perspective to the table, but there's been some resistance. I keep having to remind them that the cell phone industry is more modern... trying to introduce them to some color too... I mean colors other than red white and blue. They funkiest they ever got is rainbow gradient packaging, and that's just ugly anyway. The skytouch phonecharm package designs in my gallery was the first step to my mission.

CliqueMB and my upcoming e-mag is going to have to be put on hold until I can find some time to dedicate to it... This is the first time in a month that I've turned my computer on at home... usually I come home from work and cant stand to be around a computer anymore.

New vectors coming soon.

If you are between the ages 11-15, and think you're a good designer/artist, please send me a note with your name, age, website url, and a few examples of your best work.

This is for an article I will be writing about the youngest designers these days. If chosen, you may be contacted for a short Q&A interview.

My forum, CliqueMB is expanding and we are in need of writers for our future projects. Contact me for more details. (Keeping it kind of low key for now)
so, i know this is long overdue, but i finally put a stock photo account up. there's only like 5 photos right now, but i'll add more soon.

~2nekked-stock
i might start offering stock photos on a separate account. what do you think? think i'm pretty enough for people to use me in their work? =P
so im going through some hard times... my boyfriend and i recently broke up, i hate it here in california (i dont really, but i miss boston so much). i cant goto school till january since i got here too late and all the classes were full this semester, so im basically sitting at home all day restless and bored off my ass. i'll be getting a job soon though, but no one my age works at the place im going to be at (my dad's friend's civil engineering company where I will be doing autocad all day. 2d. landscape design. boring things.)

my alcoholic tendancies have shot right back up since the end of my relationship (i'm a former alcoholic; sober for 2 1/2 years but i still drink when i party, like everyone else my age) and i should probably find an aa meeting to attend, but i dont actually think it will get that bad. i promised my ex that I wouldnt drink until halloween.

so as an attempt to challenge myself and give myself something to work towards so i dont drive myself crazy here at home, i'm exploring new horizons of design. maybe you've noticed that my vectoring style has changed dramatically, and i'm actually doing a bit of fantasy photomanip here and there as well. so that's something for us all to look foward to.
over the past few months, i've received a number of emails from people asking me for permission to use my work for their "tags" and "signatures."

most of these people are from the same "paint shop pro community", i think...

the first few emails were understandable, but i've said time and time again that i do not allow people to use my work unless i've specifically said that i've made it for other people's use.

so please stop asking, because it's become a nuisance.
joe should have more pageviews. but he doesnt. but his work is absolutely breathtaking. so go. now. because he is my <3

:iconkobrakai51:
so...tired..

anyways, im back... ive been back for a while (as you can see by the some-what new BM vector)
christina will be on a sort of hiatus for anywhere between a week and a month, for reasons she doesnt wish to disclose here at this point. she will however allow me to say that she'll be having a biopsy tomorrow and the time of her return will be determined by it's results.

i decided to change platforms from IPB2 to XMB. There've been many obstacles that have given me a hard time relaunching my forum; but finally things seemed to have settled. With more then ten new themes to choose from, and an overall new general "feel", i give you...
